Ed’s pick of the week – Wally Wallington

My educational on-line pick of the week this week is a Youtube clip sent to me by John Savage from the University of the West of England.

The clip features Wally Wallington showing us how he thinks the stones were placed at Stonehenge.  What I find absolutely  fantastic about Wally’s work is how he moves these enormous stones on his own with such simple tools.

Engineers (and anyone who has ever tried to move a washing machine across the kitchen floor) should watch to see how a bit of imagination and careful planning can make the utterly implausible possible!
