A range of design choices are taken when designing bridges. This University of Cambridge project provides an insight into the forces acting on bridges and how these affect the choices that are made.

Activities are hands-on and encompass maths, physics and design technology, such as the investigation into how varying weight and lengths of cables affect cable stayed bridges.
